Patriarch John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Greek Orthodox, received the envoy of the new administration in Syria to the Patriarchate in Damascus, Dr. Abu Omar, who conveyed to His Beatitude the greetings of Commander Ahmad Al-Sharaa. The meeting touched on many important points, including the status of Christians as authentic citizens in Syria, far from the concept of minorities and majorities, enjoying their freedom, rights and duties, in addition to their role in building the future of Syria in partnership with all segments of Syrian society within all the various aspects of national work, including participation in drafting a new democratic constitution for the country that guarantees the consolidation of the values of freedom, justice and equality.
